Ik zit teveel op facebook tegenwoordig; ik zoek de button ‘vind ik leuk!’

Op 9 oktober komt dan eindelijk de cd uit. Tori heeft er ruim een jaar aan gewerkt wat zeer uniek is voor een castalbum. Ik ben erg benieuwd naar het resultaat.

Erg leuk dat de CD nu eindelijk uit gaat komen !

Die foto is zij wel, zingt ze ook zelf op deze cd?

De vrouw op de foto is Rosalie Craig die de hoofdrol speelde.

Voor zover bekend is Tori zelf niet te horen op de cd al hoop ik wel heel erg op een bonustrack of zoiets. Maar ik denk het niet. Tori heeft aangegeven dat ze het een verademing vond om muziek te componeren en geen rekening te hoeven houden met haar eigen stem. Tori kennende wil ze die muziek dan ook laten klinken zoals het bedoeld is. Op haar cd Midwinter Graces staat wel een nummer uit de musical, maar die komt uit 2009 toen de muziek nog in een vroeg stadium verkeerde.

Jeetje, ze lijkt echt op Tori!

Het nummer Althea is vanaf vandaag te beluisteren op Apple Music.

Doet me herinneren aan een mislukt avondje in het theater. Deze voorstelling en vooral de muziek heb ik uit mijn geheugen verbannen.

Smaken verschillen. Ik heb de musical een paar keer gezien alweer bijna twee jaar geleden en heb er intens van genoten. Zeer verheugd ook dat Amos de tijd en moeite heeft genomen om verder in deze voorstelling te investeren door de de originele cast op CD vast te leggen.

Blij dat deze er eindelijk aankomt. We hebben deze ook mogen zien in het NT, wist toen totaal niet wat te verwachten en was aardig verwondert, al bij al een zalige musical met grappige momenten in.

‘The Light Princess’ concertante uitvoering op 1 juli 2018 in Cadogan Hall ...

Tori Amos and Samuel Adamson’s The Light Princess comes to Cadogan Hall in its first ever concert performance this summer for one night only.

Rosalie Craig, currently appearing in The Ferryman at the Gielgud Theatre, reprises the role of Althea, for which she won the Evening Standard Theatre Award for Best Musical Performance. Hadley Fraser, currently appearing in the titular role as Young Frankenstein at the Garrick Theatre, will join her as Digby with further casting to be announced.

Based on the Scottish fairy tale by George MacDonald The Light Princess tells the story of a princess afflicted by a constant weightlessness, unable to get her feet on the ground, both literally and metaphorically, until she finds a love that brings her down to earth.

Rosalie Craig: ‘It’s so wonderful to have the opportunity to revisit this incredible piece five years on. It is hugely special to me and it will be a joy to hear it and sing it again after all this time.’
