Evita komt terug naar Londen. Vanaf 16 september slechts zeven weken te zien in het Dominion Theatre. Met de cast van de UK Tour: Madalena Alberto als Evita en Marti Pellow als Che.

De show heeft redelijk goede recensies ontvangen (vooral Madalena wordt geprezen), dus ik ben benieuwd. Ik heb Madalena ooit in Les Misérables gezien.  😊  Eind september ben ik in Londen, dus ik ga denk ik wel een kijkje nemen!

En voor als je het goedkoper wil houden kan je deze zomer ook afzakken naar Oostende, want dit is als ik het juist heb dezelfde productie, toch?

Klopt maar dan zonder Marti Pellow dacht ik.

Bill Kenwright’s ‘superb’ (Sunday Telegraph) production of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Evita is set to captivate the West End again for a strictly limited season.

This ‘monumental show’ (Sunday Express) tells the story of an ordinary woman’s meteoric rise to power at a time of extraordinary political unrest. It follows Eva Peron’s, wife of former Argentine dictator Juan Peron, journey from humble beginnings through to extraordinary wealth, power and iconic status, which ultimately lead her to be heralded as the ‘spiritual leader of the nation’ by the Argentine people.

Starring one of musical theatre’s most exciting young leading ladies Emma Hatton, who direct from playing Elphaba in Wicked has been wowing audiences and critics across the country with her portrayal of Eva. She is joined by leading Italian performer Gian Marco Schiaretti as Che in his West End debut.

With more than 20 major awards to its credit, and an Oscar winning film version starring Madonna and Antonio Banderas, Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Evita is iconic. Featuring some of the best loved songs in musical theatre, including Don’t Cry for Me Argentina, On This Night of a Thousand Stars, You Must Love Me, and Another Suitcase in Another Hall, this spectacular production promises to be the theatrical event of the summer!

is dit de tour die nu in duitsland staat ?

Nee, de tour met Emma Hatton is een UK-tour.

Volgens mij gaat het wel om dezelfde productie. Ze staan deze maand nog in Zwitserland en Duitsland en vervolgens in Londen.

Ze zijn alweer een tijd terug in de UK.. Ik volg Emma Hatton op twitter:)

Volgens de speellijst staan ze deze week staan ze nog in het Musicaltheater in Basel, volgende week in het Opernhaus in Düsseldorf.

Ow serieus? Dan was zij misschien even voor een korte break terug..

Klopt hoor, deze Evita met Emma Hatton heeft de afgelopen maanden vanuit de UK al verschillende uitstapjes gemaakt naar het vaste land van Europa. Zo zag ik de voorstelling een paar maanden geleden in München. Als je niet naar Londen kunt maar Dusseldorf wel mogelijk is, zou ik last minute nog een kaartje scoren. Het is een geweldige productie met een topcast. Hatton en Gian Marco Schiaretti als Che zijn een waanzinnig duo.

Komen ze er misschien ook een keer mee naar Nl.?  😊

Blijkbaar gaan geruchten dat Evita weer terug komt ook in Nederland.

Dit gerucht ging al langer. Iets met het concept van de Evita uit Belgie in NL te laten spelen maar dit ging uiteindelijk niet door. Dus wie weet alsnog! Qua looks en regie vond ik dat een hele fijne, frisse versie!
