Yay voor Next to Normal! Jammer dat Aaron Tveit geen nominatie heeft gekgregen. Maar zolang Alice Ripley de Tony mee naar huis neemt ben ik wel gelukkig 😉

Ik denk dat de slechte recensies voor 9 to 5 hierin doorwerken… had meer nominaties voor de show/actrices verwacht.

Ook opvallend dat Stephanie J. Block en Megan Hilty niet zijn genomineerd voor 9 to 5, maar Allison Janney wel. Ik heb de voorstelling niet gezien, dus ik kan er niet over oordelen. Maar er zitten inderdaad opvallende nominaties tussen.

Ik had echt wel nominaties verwacht voor Stephanie J. Block, Megan Hilty & Aaron Tveit. Vooral bij die laatste, dacht ik dat het niet kon missen. Maar inderdaad, zolang Alice Ripley de tony maar mee naar huis neemt, kan ik nog enigszins blij zijn. En alsjeblieft (al gaat het waarschijnlijk niet gebeuren) de tony voor best musicals naar Next To Normal!!

ik ken al die musicals bijna niet die in Amerika zijn , maar ik zie wel dat shrek de musical toch wel behoorlijk veel is genomineerd en ik kan me daar juist helemaal geen voorstelling van maken ofzo haha

Vandaag heeft het ANP ook een persbericht gestuurd over de Tony Awards, waarin ze zeggen dat vanwege de goede recensies die 9 to 5 heeft gekregen het verbazend is dat ze zo weinig nominaties hebben gekregen. Wel altijd eerst de recensies lezen voor je er wat over schrijft, hè 😉

Had een berichtje gestuurd naar het ANP, krijg ik een reactie terug, met de uitleg dat het van een Duits persbureau met correspondenten in New York. 😊

Ook apart dat de drie Billy’s wel een gedeelde nominatie hebben, maar dat van de twee jongens die Michael spelen er maar één een nominatie heeft. Beetje zielig is dat wel.

Of je het op tv kan zien weet ik niet, maar ik neem aan dat het wel gewoon live via internet te zien is.

Gaaf dat Billy er zoveel gewonnen heeft. Ben benieuwd of de musicals die buiten de prijzen zijn gevallen het overleven op Broadway.

Ik vind het wel raar dat Liza’s at the Palace een tony heeft gekregen. Als je niet meer in staat bent om je eigen repertoire te zingen dan verdien je geen tony.

Leuk voor Billy en meer dan terecht natuurlijk en ook erg leuk de Tony voor Liza 😊

Ik had eigenlijk gehoopt dat Next to Normal er veel meer zou winnen dan 3, maar goed ik ben dan ook wel die-hard fan van die show. Gelukkig heeft Alice Ripley haar award wel gewonnen anders was ik gek geworden, haha.
