When a young boy’s snowman comes to life on Christmas Eve the two set off on a night time quest for adventure. On their travels they meet dancing penguins, reindeer and crowds of the Snowman’s friends.

Will the Snowman escape the clutches of the evil Jack Frost as he soars through the night sky? And will he get his new friend back home before Christmas morning?

Featuring the classic song Walking In The Air by Howard Blake, The REP’s production of The Snowman has thrilled audiences since its premiere in 1993, and is now going to tour in Holland and Germany.

Role: THE BOY (Male)
Description: This is a leading role (though non-speaking and non-singing) for a boy aged 9 — 11 years, maximum height 140cm , normal build. Must be a good actor and musical with good movement ability, and able to pick up steps easily. This is quite a demanding role so will suit someone who already has some experience of stage performing, and is likely to be tiring, so good stamina is vital. Must not be afraid of heights as flying through the air is required!
