Erg blij dit te zien. Wil graag deze show in het Engels zien!
Musical Mary Poppins is being revived for a UK tour, opening at Leicester Curve in October.
The production, which was co-created by Cameron Mackintosh and has a book by Julian Fellowes, will open at Curve on October 13.
It will then tour to venues including Bristol Hippodrome, the Bord Gais Energy Theatre in Dublin, the Palace Theatre in Manchester, and the Mayflower Theatre in Southampton. More venues are to be announced.
Mackintosh said: “It’s hard to believe that it is already 11 years since Mary Poppins landed on the London stage. I’m delighted to be bringing her back to the UK and for the first time to Dublin, after spreading her magic around the world. Since we originally staged the production we have found even more magical ways to stage this timeless tale and I’m sure you will find our new Mary practically perfect in every way.”
The show has a score by Richard M Sherman and Robert B Sherman, with additional music and lyrics by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe.
The tour will be directed by Anthony Lyn, with choreography by Geoffrey Garratt and musical supervision by Stephen Brooker.
It is produced Mackintosh and Thomas Schumacher for Disney Theatrical Productions.
Mary Poppins originally ran in the West End from 2004 to 2008, directed by Richard Eyre with co-direction and choreography by Matthew Bourne.
